What Does This Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Question: In my Semen analysis report it is mentioned SEVERE OLIGOASTHENOZOOSPERMIA. What it means?

Let me explain the terms one by one :

1) Oligopoly means less sperms.

2) Astheno means slow moving sperms.

3) Teratozoospermia means abnormal shapes and forms of sperms.

4) So over all olisoasthenoteratozoospermia means very less quantity of sperms which are slow moving as well as morphological abnormal.

Hi,

This is generally a problem by birth. This condition is difficult to treat.

This needs to be evaluated by few tests as below:

1) Scrotal Doppler ultrasound scan to identify size of testis, presence of Varicocele etc...

2) Get blood tests FSH, Testesterone and prolactin. These will help me identify if there is any problem.

Please upload a copy of your semen analysis report so that I can see how bad it is. If you have multiple copies, please upload them too.

The last medicine in the prescription "Fertomid 25mg" is for pregnant ladies? Medical shop guy told me like this. Please confirm sir.

Fertomid is also used for ovulation induction in infertile women.

This is also used in men with low sperm count.
