Brief Answer:
your semen analysis is not a big problem

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank You for consulting HealthcareMagic!

Except motility your semen analysis is not a big problem. Anyhow, even the impaired motility is not very significant that it should cause infertility.

Hi Sir,

Thanks for the reply, can you please detailed me on the below and what should be the ideal results on my report.

Progressive Motility : Nil
Non Progressive Motility : 40%
Non motile : 60%

In my earlier report it was mentioned that

Active motile is 15%
Non active motile is 65% which is needed to increase vice-versa. But on my latest report I'm not sure whether it has increased it or not.

So can you please tell me is it increased, if not please suggest us how to increase through vitamins as I heard Vitamin E is causing this problem.

Thanks,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Your sperm motility is concerning

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It clarifies now, after uploading of reports. Progressive Motility is in which the sperm swim from one place to another. Normally it should be more than 32% of motile sperms.

Non-progressive motility means that they do not move forward despite the fact that they move their tails.

Your sperm motility is concerning. Finding out the cause of it based on complete physical exam and associated findings can tell what can be done to improve and you need to sit with an infertility specialist to repeat and cross check about sperm motility analysis.

Stay healthy and thank you for consulting! You can contact me again anytime, if you need clarifications or further assistance in future. Kindly rate the answer if you are satisfied.

Hi Sir,

Thanks for the kind reply, could you please confirm one thing...

In my previous report..active motile is 15%, where as in my latest report nothing was mentioned like that. As per your answer I assume that Progressive motility and active motile are same. If I'm correct it seems it has decreased to 0% and I used bio-10 tablets nearly 30 days as prescribed by the doctor as per my prev. report, the latest one I took on my own to check the details. Seems tablets did not work, so could you please suggest If I can increase through tablets so that I will check the same with my doc.

thanks

Brief Answer:
Those two are different.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You mentioned that- As per your answer I assume that Progressive motility and active motile are same.
But, no. I did not mean that. Those two are different. Active motile is just that there is some motility. But, progressive motility is different in that in which the sperm swim from one place to another(like in one particular linear direction) which is more important for fertility to be successful.

And regarding comparison with your previous report- I personally do not want to compare with it. Because I personally do not trust that the previous report has been accurate. It might have been done in some local labs without much expertise.

Take Care!
