What Does This Thyroid Test Report Indicate?
Question:
Thyroglobulin <0.2 ng/mL
standard range <=55.0 ng/mL
Thyroglobulin Antibody <20.0 IU/mL
standard range
<=40.0 IU/mL
TSH 0.040 uIU/mL
Standard Range 0.400 - 4.600 uIU/mL
Thyroglobulin concentrations may be falsely lowered when the thyroglobulin antibody is present. Recommend ordering Thyroglobulin by LC-MS/MS.
my test results does not show detectable tgab
do I have any sign of reoccurance or if it needs more testing

does labs require more testing to be done or THIS NOT APPLY TO ME IN MY CASE

Brief Answer:
Good parameters;
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The unstimulated thyroglobulin level is good ( should be under 1 without increasing the TSH 1 year after thyroidectomy)
Negative antibodies are also a good predictor.
You may need a neck ultrasound and a whole body scan (1 year after intervention). TSH should be maintained at 0.1-0.5 .
So the dose of Levothyroxine should be lowered.
Hope the information will be helpful. Feel free to ask further.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

why does this was included wit my results ..does it requires any more testing?
tgab is not detectable in my case its less than tgab<20.so its not gonna interfere wit tg reading since it <20 right?
I was dignoised back in 2011... I have been clean since than scan r clean as well . low grade papillary

Brief Answer:
About low-grade papillary cancer;
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Thyroglobulin antibodies are always positive (can not be 0). They are considered high if they are above the normal ranges.
I would suggest not to maintain TSH level so low after 5 years for a low-grade papillary carcinoma because the risk of recurrences now is very low and the side effects of a low TSH are greater considering the very low chances for recurrences.
Hope I have been helpful.
