What Does This Ultrasound Report For Abdominal Pain Indicate?

My son is suffering with abdominal pain. This pain coming severe. We are consulting doctor yesterday he told to me ultra sound test. In ultrasound test has showing mesenteric lymphadenopathy. Size 9.5*5.1mm,he given one medicine oflomac forte.
Kindly suggested on this regard.
He should be given pain killer too.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The diagnosis depends on the site of the pain over abdomen.
If it is around bellybutton (Umbilicus) and right lower part of abdomen, it could be due to Appendicitis.Enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes is a common finding in Ultrasound. Apart from Oflamac forte syrup, Pain killer syrup like Combiflam will be prescribed by me.
As per literature,Appendix should be removed by surgery if the patient is not responding to treatment for mesenteric lymphadenopathy.Symptoms will come down.
Please consult a Paediatric surgeon or General surgeon, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Hi
Please take your son to a Paediatric surgeon.
Sometimes, it may take 5 to 7 days for the symptoms to subside.
If the pain is increasing, take him to Doctor immediately.
Get a CT scan abdomen, if Ultrasound is inconclusive.
Wish him speedy recovery.
