Question: Hi Sir,
I am 28 yrs Old and live in USA. I recently visited XXXXXXX and as i am having irregular periods right after my marriage in 2014, I went to Doctor. I got Ultra sound done and was asked to use Krimson 35 for 6 months.

I am 163 cms and weighed 138+ lbs during my scan.
Here is my Ultra sound report:
Overies: Normal in Size, shape, Position. Small Folicles of 5-6mm seen in Periphary with Central Core-Necklace pattern - Polycystic/Multi Cystic Overies.
Right Ovary measuring 40x28mm. Left ovary measuring : 39x24mm

Impression: **Bilateral Polycystic Ovaries

I started using krimson 35 from July and i finished 3 months now. During withdrawl bleeding, i started seeing decrease in bleeding. Also I started loosing some weight and i now weigh 134+ lbs.

Is decrease in withdrawl bleeding normal? How bad is my PCOS? Also I was diognised by Low vitamin D early this year and started taking D supplements. Does that have any relation to PCOD? My A1C is 5.7 . Am i insulin resistant and is this causing irregular periods?

Please educate me. Thanks in advance!

Brief Answer:
PCOS is not bad

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about PCOS and decreased bleeding.

Following is my reply:

1) When you are on contraceptive pill like Krimson 35, it is natural for you to have reduced bleeding at beginning of cycle. It is normal and not to be worried.

2) Your PCOS is not very bad. Losing some more weight will help your cycle to be regular. Continue diet and exercise regimen to lose weight. PCOS and over weight are the reasons for irregular periods and not insulin resistance.

3) Your HbA1C is normal and you dont have insulin resistance.

Brief Answer:
Krimson is not a solution for ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Let me clarify you that Krimson is not a treatment by itself.

Krimson is just a temporary way to get regular periods.

You need to lose weight. Krimson will not solve ovulation problem even if taken for 6 months.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.

Brief Answer:
Physical activity lowers insulin resistance

Detailed Answer:
HI,

You can lose another 5 kg which should be fine. Meanwhile everyday physical activity decreases insulin resistance in patients with PCOS. Its not just about weight loss but also about regular physical activity.

Hence I encourage you for regular physical activity / exercise.
