Question: Hi,My wife 35 year having 1 fibroid. Attached report. Can she undergo Laproscopic myomectomy to remove fibroid without affecting uterus. Are there any chance of getting fibroid again. Can she be pregrant again. Any side effects from Laproscopic Myomectomy. any hospital/doctor who can perform Laproscopic myomectomy at XXXXXXX Please suggest.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I have reviewed the ultrasound report.
It shows a fibroid of 8 cm , which is quite large in size.
Laparoscopic myomectomy can be done, however it depends entirely upon the expertise of the laparoscopic surgeon.
Pregnancy is very well possible after myomectomy.
Side effects of laparoscopic myomectomy are post operative pain, and chances of open myomectomyif laparoscopic removal is not possible.

Thanks. How many days to recover after myomectomy. Currently she is having haemoglobin 9.8 will it be a concern.

Hi dear, Complete recovery after myomectomy takes at least 6 weeks.
Minimum haemoglobin for a fibroid surgery should be at least10 gm/dl, so she should be given appropriate treatment prior to surgery.
