What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Question: Hello doctor, Today had done a second trimester sonogram of my wife and the results as below : AC seems to be inadequate . Is it some thing to worry ?
Note : From the first trimester sonography report itself , Gest Age by USG was behind that by LMP by 6 days.

Approximate fetal weight at present : 740 grams +/- 112 grams
Presentation : Cephalic
Placenta : Posterior high
Liquor : Adequate Single pocket : 3.7 cm
Cardiac activity : 150 beats /min
Foetal Movement : Present
Umbilical artery Doppler Normal
Impression :
Single viable intra uterine foetus in Cephalic presentation with an average gestational age of 25 weeks 3 days at the time of scan

I have reviewed the ultrasound report.
The AC is definitely less, however it is not significantly less to get worried.
At this point, proper high protein diet, adequate rest and plenty of fluids will help the fetus to grow adequately.
If these steps are not taken, then fetus can develop intrauterine growth restriction.
