Question: 22 year old female, no hx of any medical conditions. Have had an ultra sound of abdominal area along with a colonoscopy 4+ months ago. Everything normal GI physician said i was experiencing lack of fiber. approximately 20 min ago i tried to have a bowl movement after eating lunch and had passed a concerning amount of blood from my rectum. I don't know if its from the stool that passed but it was a concerning amount to me.

Brief Answer:
Yes, should get examined asap.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and the picture.
To recapitulate: Female/22 - ultrasound and colonoscopy 4 months ago - normal - GI Specialist said about lack of fibers - had BM after lunch - blood from rectum

My thoughts:
If the bleeding was painless, it could have been from hemorrhoids or a polyp.
If there was pain while passing bowel movement this may then be due to anal fissure.
I would advise you the following:
Consult a General Surgeon to get examined to know the exact cause and get treated accordingly.
Have Sitz bath
Take high fiber diet and if still not effective then take a laxative to keep stool soft.
I hope this answer helps you to get an early diagnosis and proper management. Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
