What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Question: Report states no free fluid in cul de sac or left adnexal, but small area of fluid seen in the right adnexa, non specific. My Dr. thinks it just may be a ruptured cyst, however, wants to repeat vaginal ultrasound in 6 wks.
I have had regular periods all my life up until this year(age45). Periods are 5-10 days late, but no in-between bleeding.
My last Pap smear indicated some endometrial cells present. I have repeated pap today and awaiting results.
My paternal g. Mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in her late 50's/early 60's. I am terrified that this may be initial sign of cancer?? Should I seek 2nd opinion or take action earlier??

Brief Answer:
Free fluid doesn't indicate ruptured cyst always.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, there is free fluid near right adnexa. It doesn't indicate ruptured cyst always. Free fluid can be due to pelvic inflammatory disease. There will be severe pain in the lower abdomen if cyst ruptures.
There is no need to worry about cancer ovary.
I prefer to do a Diagnostic Laparoscopy , see the ovaries and send the fluid for analysis .
Please take second opinion.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
