Have I need an immediate surgery for my above said problem or there has any other substitute other than surgery? If surgery is essential, how much time I can taken to delay for it?
Surgery is only treatment option for cure as per protocol
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can understand your concern from your health condition.
1) Some literature has proven some beneficial effect of medication in dissolution of some type of gall stones. But this practice is not routine as result vary from patient to patient. So this type of medical treatment modality is not covered under treatment protocol for gall stones.
2) There is no need of urgency to undergo surgery as far as wall of gall bladder is normal, gall bladder is not distended and stone is not stuck to wall. Any of this might warrant the need of surgery as soon as possible.
3) Persistent pain at center of abdomen is related to gall stone. Severity and duration of pain are prime factors to decide timing of surgery.
4) But it is recommended to undergo surgery as soon as possible for good recovery than doing surgery when gall bladder wall is thickened, gall bladder is distended or stone is stuck to narrow part of gall bladder.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you.
Have a nice day!
