Question: I have done ultra sound sonography of my pelvis. Results are - uterus is anteverted and bulky(91x71x68 mm).Multiple fibroids seen, largest in the posterior wall and fundus measuring 68x62 mm. the endometrium is displaced anteriorly and measures 5.5 mm. I am very regular in my monthly cycle. flow is also very normal. But since last 2 months i have not got my periods. is it due to fibroid? My age is 46.

Brief Answer:
Perimenopausal transition

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
No dear this is not related to fibroid and most likely is due to perimenopausal transition.
It is common in your age group and thus nothing to worry.
You will get your full flow in a couple of days and it will be fine after that most likely.
Fibroid can grow for a while but will eventually be fine after you will attain menopause.
I'm case you have any questions about it, I will be glad to answer.
Regards
Dr Manisha
