Brief Answer:
Urine report is abnormal

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

In stools, E. Coli can be present, but in urine culture proteus is definitely infectious and needs treatment.
Child looks normal in initial stages but symptoms like fever, frequent urination occurs at late stages.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.

Is it same like E. coli?

One more thing is that my daughter still urinates in her diaper so we made her urinate in her pot and then collected the urine and gave for sample
Is it possible that report is wrong as we did not directly collect urine in sterile container

Secondly what is the treatment of this problem ?
Is it serious problem ?

No it's not same

Hi
E. Coli can be present in stools normally but in limited amount.
Proteus is present in urine only.

Also she is not gaining weight from last three months
Could this be the reason behind that and also she is passing 3 to 4 stools per day
I hope it's not a serious problem at this age I.e 17 months ?

Answered by Dr. Deepak Patel (5 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Not related

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Both things are not related to each other.
Urine infection if severe results in fever, increased frequency of urine, pain abdomen.
A child can pass two to three stools per day, it's a normal thing.
I think that you should treat urine infection first, other things can be addressed later on.
Take care.

Thanks doctor

Some more questions:

1) Is it treatable with antibiotics ?

2) since we did not collect urine in a sterile container rather we let her urinate in her pot and then collected urine
Can this lead to wrong report ?

3) hope it's treatable problem and not something to worry about if detected early ?

Should

Brief Answer:
It's absolutely treatable

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It's absolutely treatable, don't worry about it.
If you have doubt about collection then you can do a repeat urine culture.
Antibiotic can be started after report.
Take care.
