the following is the result of my lab test yesterday

S PARATYPHI AO = 1/40

I have gone through your reports in detail.
You are suffering from dual infection i,e both malaria and typhoid.
Malaria parasite test is positive in your case.
Widal test (test for typhoid)is also positive.Single antibody value of salmonella O or H > or equal to 1: 160 is considered as positive.However four fold increase in follow up titration is confirmatory for typhoid fever.
In cases of typhid,I suggest my patients to take injection ceftriaxone 1 gm I.V twice daily for seven days.Alternatively,tablet cefixime 200 mg twice daily for seven days can also be taken orally.
You are getting right medicines for malaria.Continue it.
You should take anti-diabetic drugs regularly.

Yes,typhoid in first week causes gastrointestinal upset.
In this situation,I recommend my patients to take tablet proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole 40 mg once daily half hour before food for one month.
