Brief Answer: XXXXXXX disease or hemolysis should be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for writing to HCM

You have slightly elevated total and indirect bilirubin level. You need few more investigations like routine hemogram, haptoglobin, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level, presence of reticulocytosis, urine RE/ME,Lipid profile, viral markers,Ultrasound of abdomen.Further investigations can be done if needed.

It is important to rule out XXXXXXX disease or hemolysis XXXXXXX syndrome is seen in about 5% of the general population and causes only mild hyperbilirubinemia (mildly elevated bilirubin level with normal liver enzymes) and without symptoms. It is not associated with liver disease.

Gilbert's syndrome usually does not need any treatment.

Hope I have answered your question.
