Brief Answer:
May be due vaginal atrophy. Have internal examination done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
Do you have any discharge? Are the labia swollen? Do you have any burning sensation when you pass urine? How did it start? Was there any trigger factor like intercourse? Do you feel there is anything protruding out of the vagina ( prolapse)?
From your notes I can think of the following reasons that may be causing vaginal discomfort.
1.     Vaginal atrophy- the reduced estrogen levels in this age group can cause thinning and drying of vaginal mucosa. Inflammation can develop in this epithelium causing discomfort. Most likely you have vaginal atrophy.
2.     Infections-Yeast or bacterial infection . This is usually associated with discharge and itching.
3.     Irritation to soaps and hygiene products can cause inflammation and discomfort.
4.     Prolapse of pelvic organs- laxity of ligaments in this age group can cause descent of uterus/ rectum / bladder. This can cause discomfort specially while walking.
5.     Injury to atrophic vaginal mucosa during intercourse
So I advise you to consult your doctor for internal examination. This helps to find out the cause. Based on it treatment can be planned.
I hope this helps.
