ADVICE REGARDING SEMEN COLOR
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for posting your query in HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.
See, first of all, the colour of seminal fluid is mostly yellowish white or pearly white. But it is not constant. Just like when you ejaculate after a reasonable gap, it is more thick and has a yellowish tinge, but when you ejaculate frequently, it is more watery and thin.
If you really want to check the colour of your seminal fluid, check over clean white surface, then the yellowish tinge will be noticeable. But let me tell you that unless there is tinge of blood or any reddish hue, you need not worry. What matters is the volume, sperm count and motility with maturity of the sperms.
You have experienced different colour just because of the contrasting surface and exteriors.
Hope i have answered your question.
You can ask any further question and I will be happy to help.
Regards

Hello again.
Seminal fluid can be more yellow or reddish if there is blood with infection, but there will be other symptoms like pain, burning micturition, sometimes an ill odour etc. Sometimes, semen becomes more yellowish in older people. If these are not associated, you should not worry. Your specimen seemed okay as far as the pictures were concerned.
However, definite confirmation will be with microbiological and pathological examination only. But I guess that is not needed unless you have some symptoms.
Hope it was useful.

Colour of semen isn't the sole criteria to confirm infection...

Hello.
Yes as i had said, when you ejaculate after some days, the consistency becomes thicker and yellowish.
Whereas in frequent ejaculations, it is thin and more white.
And yes as the urologist said, urine mixed with it makes it watery and subsequently the colour appears white and consistency becomes thin.
Anyways, you should not worry. Your specimen seemed fine to me.
