Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I a so sorry to hear about the fact that your daughter now needs catheterisation every 12hours. I understand it has been a long and very demanding way coming over 64years and this just makes challenge even more demanding. I pray and hope you find the strength to continue working as much as you can for her.

Your daughter has probably developed a neurological bladder. This means that there is a problem with the nervous signals pathways and or execution of the impulses. This causes an inability to empty the bladder consciously/voluntarily. The complication of urinary retentions is repeated urinary tract infections and kidney damage. With repeated catheterisation, this would be minimized. Please, always try to respect measures of asepsy each time you are doing the catheterisation.

This means that there is an overall deterioration of her nervous pathways and her health. This would greatly compromise her quality of live but would be the best of available options to her. We should be realistic and understand that she would be greatly affected by this.

In all, it signals and overall deterioration of the integrity of her nervous pathways and her general health status. This would help protect the kidneys and prevent repeated infections.

I hope this helps. I wish her well. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
