Question: Under What health conditions should you not get a vaccine for covid ? If you have auto immune issues like rheumatoid arthritis, could a vaccine aggravate those conditions? Also, is locking everyone down only dragging this whole thing out by not allowing healthy people to become exposed and get immune? And finally, hypothetically, for those who really stayed locked in for all this time, with no healthy normal exposure to anything, aren't they more vulnerable when they finally go out? Oh and what percentage is considered herd immunity?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

since this is a new vaccine we don't know everything about potential side effects including vaccination to special populations like patients with rheumatoid arthritis. One concern might be that such patients who may be receiving immunosuppressive medications may not respond completely to vaccination. Despite the aforementioned doubts, vaccination is recommended.

Locking people down helps to reduce exposure to the virus and causes less trouble to the healthcare systems. Without the lock-down, it's very likely that many healthcare systems would have collapsed. Immunity is indeed the target but we should get there without too many casualties.

People who stayed in all this time, should not worry about going out again for anything else besides COVID-19.

It's not easy to say that it's this or that percentage. A 70% sounds realistic though.
