Brief Answer:
Comneselone = prednisolone

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have arthritis and have been taking prednisone for years off and on but now your doctor no longer wants to prescribe it. There are dangers to long term use of prednisone or any steroid. They include diabetes, weight gain, osteoporosis and easy fractured bones, heart disease and addiction. You have purchased a medication form Canada called Comneslone. This is a steroid called prednisolone which is comparable to prednisone. The 40 mg is a real high dose and should only be used under the supervision of your doctor. You may do what you want but I am concerned for you about the possible consequences. It will give you the same results as the prednisone.

No question. Thank you for your wise input; I shall think seriously about your advice, but may split a tablet in half and take only on days when I seriously can hardly move or even get out of bed. That's all and, again, thanks for your help in this matter. Best regards. XXXXX
