What Is Magicul Prescribed For?
Question: I have been tested positive to Primary Hyperthyroidism and have been prescribed Magicul ( cimetidine) the test showed many small spots is it usual to use this medication? and to just take medication and not remove the small spots or lumps?I also have a productive cough since a back op April last year and started an itch under the skin on the trunk of my body at the same time. About 6 weeks back I developed a rash on my chest ointments and tablets have not helped with this!
Brief Answer:
Cimetidine is used for Acidity
Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern.
May I know where exactly are the small spots present ??
Magicul ( cimetidine) is used for acidity, not for hypothyroidism.
What did your last thyroid blood work reports show? Do you have a copy of it?

I havent a copy of blood reports, but at the Drs last week saw reports on screen of the parathyroid showing small nodules on each four. Obviously there is some mistake. It seems there is a mistake somewhere unless Dr prescribed it and I misunderstood the purpose!! I already take Nexium 40g a day, Blood Pressure, Lyrica Panadol and have pain patch. It seems I should be referred to an Endocrinologist. Thank you for your time XXXX XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Need endocrine evaluation for parathyroid adenoma
Detailed Answer:
Parathyroid nodules especially multiple nodules could be due to Multiple endocrine neoplasia. Your calcium and PTH ( parathyroid hormone) levels need to be checked. And i totally agree with your doctor. You need an endocrine evaluation.
