Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing to XXXXXXX

DepoMedrol is an ANTI-INFLAMMATORY glucocorticoid (steroid) for intramuscular, intra-articular, soft tissue, or intralesional injection.

This is commonly given into the inflammed area or bursa so as to provide relief from pain which may vary from few months to years. Generally steroid mixed with anesthetic drug will give a more potent and prolonged action.

Hope I have addressed your query. I welcome any more clarification.
