What Is Meant By Mild Accentuated Broncovascular Marking?
No need to worry much for this x ray findings.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Lung is comprised of three structures.
1. Bronchi and alveoli (airways)
2. Blood vessels (veins and arteries)
3. Connective tissue (interstitium)
Normally lung appears black on chest x ray.
But in viral infection these vessels are engorged and contain more blood.
Blood is radio-opaque in nature and so appears white on chest x ray.
So vessels containing this blood will be slightly more prominent.
In lungs bronchi are surrounded by vessels. So in infection both will be accentuated (slightly more prominent) than the surrounding lung and hence known as accentuated bronchovascular markings.
So no need to worry much as it can seen in normal individuals if chest x ray is taken in expiratory phase.
Please let me know your symptoms, so that I can guide you better about treatment and food habits.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
