What Is Sclerosis Of The Hip Joint?
Question: what is sclerosis of the hip joint as seen on an x tray and is it related to MS?
Brief Answer:
This is not related to MS
Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,
I have seen your report and i can assure you that it is not related to MS. Sclerosis of the hip joint can be seen in many normal individual so this is not always sign of disease.
In some cases it is marker of joint arthritis but if there is no pain in your hip movements , and there is no pain in hip joint at rest then nothing has to be done.
I hope this answers your query.Let me know if you want to ask any thing else.
Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I am actually having a lot of pain in my groin/pelvic area, inner thigh down to my right knee, which is the reason that i had the x ray taken. I am attempting to rule out that the pain is related to my hip joint and what my next step is. The last time I had this type of pain, I had to have a grapefruit size tumor on my right ovary remove which was pre-cancerous.
Since I am having pain, what would you recommend as a next step?

Brief Answer:
You should get MRI
Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,
I would suggest you to get MRI of the groin and pelvic region to confirm if there is any suspicious lesion.
This will show us any thing which can cause such pain. If you want, you can share your MRI report with me.
Thanks.
