Question: I would like to know as a doctor if you were 57 years old and had metastatic prostate cancer would you go with the standard treatment that can not cure you or would you try a regimen of "natural" or should I say alternitive treatments
Brief Answer:
I will try both
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
If I were to be in this state, I will try both methods. The truth is that most medical literature is well censored and only the facts are put out there. When it says it cannot be treated, that is true and the conclusion made after well conducted medical research has arrived at that conclusion. With alternative medicine, there is so much out there that is baseless and lacks the evidence to support it making its validity questionable. For sure, there are some products out there used in alternative medicine that work well but most don't and are false conclusions. Also, no one knows what he toxicity of these various substances is.
However, if standard treatment is not available and death inevitable, I will take my chances to try everything hoping that I get something good out of it. Beside, not taking it would not change the fate while taking it may change the fate though not 100% sure about, it is worth the risk.
This is my personal approach and how I would tackle this problem supposed I were the one to deal with this.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Feel free to ask for more clarification and information if need be. Thanks and I wish you well.
