What Is The Cause And Treatment For Mondor's Disease?
Question: I have what feels like a vein on the right side of my chest that kind of goes from my nipple then sideways to my upper abdomen. I just noticed it yesterday. It feels hardened.
Brief Answer:
it is called mondor disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic .
It is called mondor disease . It is not a dangerous condition.
Treatment includes pain killer like aceclofenac with local steroid ointment or heparin ointment. This is a self limiting disease with a course of 3 weeks to 6 months. I would suggest you to consult doctor (surgeon) if you are having pain or redness near the vein or any other problem.
This condition is due to inflammation of vein leading to clotting of blood inside it.
Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
