What Is The Cause And Treatment For Chronic Fatigue?
Question: Hi I am a 59 yr. old female I have Chronic Fatigue sym. really bad. Fall asleep at wk, while driving and at times while talking to people (at wk). I have FM, high BP, and numbness in my feet. My daughter at 31 died with Lymphoma & found it thru an Ebstein Barr test. My Dr. said some of my EB testing came back with high past infections & virus'. Should I go to a infection disease dr. as he has suggested? His not real convienced I should. Is Lymphoma contagious?, If you actually touch the fluid on your hands. T.

I understand your concern. At first I have to tell you that lymphoma is not contagious, so you don't have to be afraid of this. You mentioned that you have passed through EBV infection regarding to the tests. EBV causes mononucleosis in his acute phase and in some cases after recovering some people get chronic fatigue syndrome.
The worst is that even after resting, the symptoms doesn't vanish.
The remedy for this syndrome is to try to excercise, try to progress slowly with your excercises. Sometimes it is also helpful to visit a psychologist. You can also try to talk to your doctor because these situation can affect your psychological state which can lead to depression, and antidepressants are helpful, but only if necesser.
my suggestion is to visit infection doctor to see if you actually had EBV infection and in what form to see if this is connected with your syndrome and all symptoms mentioned above

Ok, sounds good. Would Adderal help with my sleepyness & concentration. It's really getting harder & harder to work! I am trying to get more sleep at nights. but it doesn't help that much.

hello and thank you for your new query. I wouldn't recommend adderall because it consists if amphetamine which has a lot of side effects. My suggestion is to visit your GP and try to get a more harmless stimulans.
