What Is The Cause And Treatment For Gastroenteritis?

To complicate matters I have bipolar disorder. The first morning, I vomited when I took my Zoloft and Lithium. Last night I took my Lithium and vomited again. I'm hesitant to take any more.
I'm concerned at how quickly I vomited up the 2 wheat thins, because I've been able to hold down fluids.
Please advice
Hydrate yourself well and get prescription for vomiting medicine.

Greeting from Dr. Divakara.P
First of all thanks for choosing Healthcaremagic for posting your query.
It seems like you are having Gastroenteritis . It is infection of stomach and Intestine. Most of these gastroenteritis are due to Viral infection and will subside in 2-3 days but you need to make sure that you take plenty of fluids so that dehydration doesn't occur.
Since you are not able to hold food , you require vomiting suppressive medications like Ondansetron , so kindly ask your doctor for a prescription of this medicine and use it .
If your symptoms persists then you better get tested as the chance of bacterial infection becomes high in that case and you may also require Antibiotic s for that.
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
Regards.
