Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
I understand that you are having significant hair fall and it has been bothering you for past 1.5 years. Please help me assess the type of hair fall by answering the following questions.
1. Approximately how many hairs fall per day 50-100 or more than that ?
2. Is it falling from all over the scalp or mainly from front of scalp associated with receding hair line and from the vertex( Centre of scalp) ?
3. Do you have family history of baldness in father, mother's side relatives?
4. Before onset of hair fall did you have any physical ailments like severe fever, accident, surgery, hospitalisation etc or any severe mental stress. Of course shifting to a new place itself is a stress.
5. Do you have any health issues like anemia or hypothyroidism ?
Kindly get back with the details, If possible take a photograph of your scalp from above and upload along with the query. You have a feature to upload the images by yourself at the right side of the query page, please utilize that. You can also send the image as attachment to YYYY@YYYY , with the subject as 'Attn: Dr. Johny Chacko'.

Hello,
Welcome back,
A photo will help me rule out male pattern hair fall.
From the description your hair fall is significant. Chronic stress physical and mental can cause a type of hair fall called chronic telogen effluvium. It is a hair cycle disorder and a lot of anagen hairs (growing phase) go into telogen phase (resting phase) and they fall off after its life span of 3-4 months. In this condition the hair root is healthy and chance of recovery is good. However in baldness the hair root gradually dies off and need to treat fast.
I don't think you are allergic to water.
Chronic telogen effluvium is treated with hair suplements for three months.
In view of the history of exertional breathlessness, I would like you to check your Hemoglobin. A serum thyroid function test will help to rule out Hypothyroidism.
Waiting for the photo.
Hope this helped,Take care.

Thanks :)

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome back,
Saw the photograph, you have a receding hair line, as the hair style is spiked cannot appreciate the frontal and vertex area. Anyways it does not look like a male pattern baldness from this picture, but a closer look and a trichoscopic examination might give a better picture.
The hair fall you are having is most likely to be telogen effluvium. I recommend you to do a hemoglobin test and Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) test. You may take supplements containing amino acids, minerals and vitamins (For eg: Keraglo Men) daily once for 3 months. I will also recommend a hair growth serum (Kera XL hair growth serum 4 pumps to be applied at night over scalp). Usually the cycling defect will recover in 3 months. If the hair fall does not recover in 3 months with this, then an appointment with a dermatologist with special interest in trichology is warranted for a closer examination.
If Hemoglobin is low and if there is thyroid abnormality that has to be corrected.
Hope this helped,
Take care.
