Brief Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for using HCM..

Detailed Answer:
I understand your concern..

Did you have regular periods prior to delivery? Do you have any health problems? Are you on any medications? Are you breast feeding?

Modus is medroxyprogesterone which helps to get withdrawal bleeding. Ovaral L is OCP's which helps to regularise periods.. Since you have taken ovral for 6 months it should have regularised your periods.. After taking modus wait for 1 week to get periods. If you donot get your periods in a week, rule out other causes for delayed periods.

First and foremost rule out pregnancy. Get a urine pregnancy test with early morning urine sample.. If negative, rule out other causes of delayed periods like stress, overweight, underweight, excessive exercise, intake of certain medications, ovarian problems, thyroid disorders and PCOS. Besides breast feeding can also cause irregularity due to change in ovulation.

So you can wait for 7 days prior to any investigation/treatment. Hope I have answered your queries. Feel free to ask any queries.. Good day.

Hi I got my periods, and checked doctor. They did a PV Scan and told Polycystic Ovaries present. Doctor said weight reduction itself is enough. Does reducing weight will regulate my periods. Doctor said, if you dint get periods again in 3 months you can take modus. No other ways to regulate periods except contraception pills.

I am not breast feeding and not taking any medications. Also prior to delivery my periods are regular and I dont have any other health problems. My doctor did thyroid test and it was also normal.

My weight is 50kg before getting pregnant and now I am 60kgs. Is this a major problem?

Brief Answer:
Increasing weight accerates PCOS.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..

PCOS and weight gain are directly related to each other. Increase in weight causes periferal conversion of estrogen to androgen which is a male hormone resulting in acne, weight gain , irregularity in period and hirsuitism..

Reduction of weight is very important to normalise the period. Regular exercise for 30 min, diet control. Diet should include lots of fruits, vegetables, rich in fibre and whole grain.. Drink lot of fluids.. Eat small amount of food 4-6 times. Avoid smoking..

It is important to get periods once in 2 months to prevent endometrial hyperplasia.

Hope I have answered your queries. If your doubts are cleared, please close the conversation and rate my answer. Good day..
