Brief Answer:
sinusitis should be confirmed by examination
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to healthcaremagic,
Sinus infection can cause tinnitus and rarely dizziness as well.
Discharge from the sinuses can block the eustachian tubes and produce tinnitus.
Pressure in the head along with pain is also due to sinusitis.
Do not worry, see an ENT as soon as posiible.
Sinusitis can be confirmed by examination.
You may need a course of antibiotics preferably of the penicillin group.
You will also need anti inflammatory drugs and local nasal decongestant drops.
Till you see the doctor, do regular steam inhalation and avoid air conditioning.
Drink lots of fluids and avoid cold foods.

Dr Rajkishori Godhi.

Is there anything I can do to stop dizziness? Im finding it hard to concentrate
Brief Answer:
please give me few more details
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
A feeling of heaviness of the head, light headedness can occur with sinusitis. XXXXXXX dizziness wherein the room seems to spin accompanied by nausea and vomting indicate that there may be other problems.
If dizziness is of the variety that I just described thaen it may be related to inner ear problems. Tinnitus accompanied by dizziness are frequently caused by inner ear problems. Please give me more details of your dizziness and tinnitus so that I can analyse your situation better.
1) Is the dizziness debilitating? are you feeling a sense of imbalance or you are experiencing spinning ?
2) Describe the tinnitus.
3) Any nausea during episodes of dizziness.
Awaiting your response,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi

The tinnitus is in both ear mainly low high pitched doesn't bother me
It seems like a little bit of vertigo, enough to make me concentrate a little harder while reading and fatigued during day
no vomiting or nausea
but little bouts of increased tinnitus for a few seconds every now and then
Along with sinus pressure and dry eyes

Brief Answer:
not to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
From your description it looks like the cause for all your problems are due to sinus infection. I do not think it is inner ear problem.
You will do well with an antibiotic. Please see an ENT specialist for the same.
Till then you can use decongestnt nose drops like otrivin. These drops help to ventilate the sinuses better and hence control infection. They also open the eustachian tubes hence help to control tinnitus. You should instill 3 drops in each nostril 3 times daily for 6 days. Follow it up with steam.

Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
