Question: Hi again Dr XXXXXXX I've been having so many issues and over time trying to narrow where all my problems are coming from (CFS/Fibromyalgia) and I am almost certain it is Gut / intestine related. After I had my TSH level checked they said it was normal, I will try and retrieve the actual results soon. I also has a celiac blood test which came back negative, but i still think gluten could be causing me problems. I am currently trying to go gluten free for a month, but it is so difficult to stick to. I went for a second round of bloodtests and here are the results: Blood Haematinic levels: Ferritin 120.000 ug/L Liver function test: Serum total protein 74.000g g/L Serum albumin 44.000 g/L Serum globulin 30.000 g/L Serum bilirubin level 14.000 umol/L Serum alkaline phosphatase 66.000 iu/L Serum ALT level 35.000 iu/L Serum Calcium 2.400 mmol/L Corrected serum calcium level 2.320 ol/L Serum C reactive protein level 1.000mg/L I go through phases of having no appetite for weeks, my stool is very inconsistent sometimes very muddy texture. My stomach can go from being flat to being blown up like a balloon making me look 6months pregnant. It is not accompanied by gas or pain. It can happen even if i drink some water. other symptoms that may be related: skin redness (pictures) that changes but never fully goes away. Bloodshot eyes, high blood pressure (the last 2 times my doctor tried it was 160 then 140, I don't drink or smoke) urine is very foamy recently and can be dark even if I am drinking enough water. Sleep problems, fall asleep fine but find it difficult to stay asleep for more than 3-4hours. joint weakness fatigue sensitive to chemicals e.g. cleaning products that can cause me to become dizzy. Lower back ache when tilting. Can't have bananas anymore, they give me stomach cramps that are incredibly painful. I used to eat a banana everyday. Increased irritability Brain fog / can't concentrate properly. Usually have cold hands and feet, and I noticed that sometimes the first half of my finger nails go a slight purple/blue color. Sometimes my heart will begin beat hard at rest and a 1-2 times per month i get chest pains (stabbing pain) I will answer any questions thank you I also always have dry lips

Brief Answer: Auto immune disease. ANA test, RF test. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Your blood and other investigations are with in normal limits. Except CRP. Your C-Reactive Protien level is in Average Risk range. The symptoms you are caused by neither Chronic Fatique Syndrome/ Fibromyalgia nor Gut/ Intestinal disease. Because the main features of CFS/ Fibromyaligia are 1. severe muscle pain 2. unrelenting fatigue 3. sleep problems 4. feelings of anxiety and depression You are having the symptoms related to Fibromyalgia. But you have the some typical features of Auto Immune Diseases. 1. Rashes in forehead- may be due to photosensitivity 2. Blood shot eyes- red eye is common in Auto immune diseases 3. Bloating sensation- Gastro intestinal involvement is also common 4. Hypertension- may be due to involvement of kidney ( Lupus nephritis) 5. Foamy urine- involvement of kidney 6. Finger tips turning into blue/ purple- Raynaud's phenomenon 7. Sleep disturbances, Concentration disturbances, irritability are very common in autoimmune disease as in fibromyalgia. 8. Allergic to common houshold chemicals Thus i suspect you may be suffering from Autoimmune diseases. It may be due to Systemic Lupus Erythematosis. Please do the following investigations and review 1. Antinuclear Antibodies ( ANA) 2. Rheumatoid Factor ( RF) 3. Levels of complement components C3 and C4 4. Antibodies to ENAs 5. Antibodies to Cardiolipin. Please write back with reports. Hope this helps. Wishing you good health.
