What Is The Difference Between Oxycodone And Oxycontin?
Question: I have been on oxycontin 40mg 3 times daily for over a year down from 80mg 3 times daily. Itried to switch to oxycodone so I can start tapering off. the doctor gave me 10mg 5 x a day but I am in feel I am in constant constant withdrawals. how does oxycodone compare to oxycontin?I want to get off of pain pills, I have been taking them now for over 9 years. I tried to stop taking them on my own a few months ago and felt like I was going to die. I have never abused them I only took them to manage pain. I have only taken what was prescribed. They scare me when I get groggy. lately I am always in a state of panic, I want off of them so bad but after what happened a few months ago I am scared to try to get off them again. I never try to get high. But I have never been so depressed as I was when I tried to stop. I am scared that this is how I am going to die. I need to go in a hospital but the ones that I know of take you off cold XXXXXXX I think that would put me at risk of dying.

In that case, your oxycodone should be double to oxycontine. You should take 240 mg of oxycodone in a day to control withdrawal, but you are taking 50mg per day.
