What Is The Difference Between A Micronor, Mini Progesterone Pill And A Biochemical Progesterone?
Question: Hello,
I am currently on Micronor, XXXXXXX progesterone pill. I was wondering what the difference of a biochemical progesterone is, and how do I get off this pill successfully? I would like to avoid the ovarian cyst element of changing doses etc. So I would like to know the best way of how to get off this pill? Also, I have very heavy periods, and this has only helped mildly. Is there any other way to deal with this, other than toxic birth control?

When you stop taking mini Progesterone pill, it takes 2-3 months for your cycles to return back to normal. In case you are having regular periods then the chances of developing a cyst are minimal. Another way to reduce the side effects is to start on a combined pill for 2-3 cycles and then stop taking the pill.
To decrease the bleeding during periods you can get an endometrial ablation done after consulting your gynecologist. It will decrease the bleeding but will also decrease your chances of conception.
