What Is The Dosage Of Acetaminophen?

Question: Hi,
In my absent-mindedness I MAY have taken 2 doses of 1000mg of acetaminophen within 15 minutes of each other. I can not be sure if I did or not, I may only have taken the proper dose. If I did take 2000mg of acetaminophen at once will I be okay? I am a male 30yrs, somewhere around 210lbs, 5ft 7in tall. I did not taken any acetaminophen prior to this for at least few days ago.
Brief Answer:
maximum daily dose is 4000 mg
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
Though the recommended dose of acetaminophen for an adult is 1000 mg (1 g) every 4 to 6 hours as needed, the maximum total daily dose is 4000mg ( 4 g).
This means that you would still be within the maximum allowed daily dose for an adult since you had no doses prior to this.
If you need to use it again within this 24 hour period, it would be best to wait till the 6 hour mark.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
