Question: Hi,
I had asked your specialist for a revised advise, after I attached a new report that states cholestrol levels are under control now. He had suggested Atorvastatin 40 mg. He had suggested, I continue life long. I wanted a second opinion on this. Also, if I do need to take this medicine life long, should I go for a lesser mg ? Please advise

Brief Answer:
You may have to

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us.

Life long simply doesn't mean the same dose all life. You may have to get the cholesterol levels checked regularly and according to that dose of your medication must be altered.

The dosage you are on now suits to the present cholesterol levels.
