What Is The Dosage Of Clobazam?
Question: patient is suffering high grade glioma and yesterday he gets seizure 3pm o clock and slow down by 5 pm and sometome it is continue for an hour suddenly stops for 2 hour this process goes till time but the thing is that it is minor seizure pls check current madicine cloaba- 2 time, levipil 750mg -2 time, gardinal 60mg-2time, ecosporin av75 -2time, rantac--2time, fizorb--2 time. Pls suggest medicine cloaba can be given 3 times or more in a day to stop seizure.

I can understand your concern. I am first answering your question regarding dose of clobazam.
You have not mentioned its dose. So I cant comment whether it can be taken twice or thrice in a day. But it can be given upto 40 mg in an adult in a day. Usual dose titration is twice daily, starting from night. So maximum dose you can give him, is 20 mg twice a day.
Now coming to his treatment, there are few queries -
Has he ever been operated? If not, kindly consult doctor for surgery or palliative chemo-radiotherapy.
Is he taking steroids or glycerol syrup? If not, kindly start after consulting doctor. The steroids and glycerol syrup will decrease his brain edema and he will get relief.
To decrease seizures, you need to get his blood level examination of anti epileptics like levitiracetam. It must be in reference range to control seizures.
Keep his head end elevated to reduce pressure in brain.
