What Is The Dosage Of Endone For Moderate To Severe Pain?
slow release -adequate dose
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for using hcm.
Can understand your problem
Endone or oxycodone belongs to the opiod groups, usually indicated or prescribed in moderate to severe pains.
Can i know the reason for taking these medications with the dose taken thrice daily (dosage in milligrams).
Long acting controlled release dosage of oxycodone (10mgs) is twice daily is not a very high dose.
Opiods have their own complications and side effects like-nausea,drowsiness, rash, allergy, constipation, drymouth.
Higher doses leading to addiction, respiratory and cardiac depression, neurological suppression and so on.
Until you have no symptoms or side effects these doses(especially in opiod tolerance)are safe.
Controlled release oxycodone 10 mgs (oxycontin)twice daily itself is a very good dosage to control moderate pain.
If you are perfect with no pain, do not worry, but regular clinical and dosage monitoring should be done with your pain specialist.
Hoping that I could have helped you at least for some extent.
Please get back to me with the other dosages taken thrice.
Wishing you good health.
All the best,take care.
dosage-normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks again for following up with hcm
Really feel concerned about your chronic health problem at this young age.
That doses of oxycodone taken by you are normally safer, without any tolerance.(5+5+5,10 +10)daily,it is quite safer to continue under medical supervision.
Please try to avoid stress, spicy, fatty and heavy meals, with good intake of fibrous diet and adequate hydration.
If at all you feel, that you are into any of the side effects caused by opoids(as mentioned), please visit your treating doctor, for slow tapering (to avoid the withdrawal effects).
Hoping that my advise is helpful.
Always wishing for your good health and happiness.
Please be free to contact me for any other related problems.
All the best, take care.
