Brief Answer:
Need not worry. No adverse effect on the baby
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic. You may relax as Primolut N which is basically low dose oestrogen, will not adversely affect the foetus/baby. It could have had adverse effects only if it was in high dose as in morning-after pills.
(Since I do not expect any bad side effects with the dose she has taken, I am not trying to explain what the adverse effects could be.)
Regards,

Brief Answer:
The medicine cannot affect the gender of your baby
Detailed Answer:
Thanks XXXXXXX for writing back.
1. As the fertilization occurs, the genetic makeup of the baby gets determined. If it contains Two X chromosomes, it will be a female. On the other hand, if it contains a X and a Y, it will be a male. It is already fixed before even the pregnancy was diagnosed. No medicine can change or influence it.
2. No additional precautions are required. The pregnancy can be safely continued.
Wish you two a safe and healthy pregnancy. Stay relaxed.
