What Is The Ideal Calorie Intake For A Healthy Person?
I want to know if I can consume slightly more calories than before. I'm 6ft tall, weigh around 175 lbs and have office job, I only do exercise each day for 20 mins (100 calories a burned here). 2 days each week I consume lots of beer and eat little to nothing (i enjoy that). But in the week I now try to reach 2000 calories per day, before it would be 1500. Just want to check this is ok for me. I read consuming too little can actually have a negative impact on your body. I've read 2500 calories as recommended for male adults, but I believe it could be too high for me even though I'm tall. I count my calories and log them each day as once upon a time I was obese. I don't count butter and milk but work everything else out approx.
Please advise! Thanks
Upto 3500 calories possible

Thank you for or asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Average body needs is yes up to 2500 calories. Some books reach to 3500 too if the person is physically active and do regular exercises of minimum 250 minutes a week. Your weight is alright correlated with your height so yes you may consume a bit more calories with no worries even up to 2500 a day. But a balanced diet with all active and necessary ingredients should be preferred instead of consuming it with beers and beverages. Any thing less than 3500 calories a day is good for you and you should take it.
I hope it helps. Take good care of your nutrition and dont forget to close the discussion please.
