What Is The Ideal Time To Take Medicine For Hypertension?
Question: When is the best time to take bystolic 10 mg I also take lisinopril 40mg at 7:00 am every day
Brief Answer:
Morning dosing of your blood pressure medications
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
I see you are being treated for hypertension with both Lisinopril and bystolic. We recommend that you take both of your medications in the morning. This is because the morning blood pressure is the highest of the day and you need to treat it first thing in the morning. With your taking both medications at the same time it will reduce your pressures to goal pressure and it will be easiest to remember to take.

It seems that I'm just "off" when I take the Lisinopril such as light headed and numbness thru out my body at times, should I expect the same or hopefully be better, also it seems that when my heart rate is high (80-95) my bp is lower (120 - 75) and the opposite when heart rate lower (65-80) my bp is higher (145-95) is that normal? Thank you
Brief Answer:
Hypertension
Detailed Answer:
The lisinopril can cause people to have low blood pressures. But your current readings are very good an should not cause you to feel light headed from low pressure. you could still be having side effects from the medication though. I would discuss this with your provider as they may want to change you medication or stop it altogether.
The lower blood pressure is due to your new medication bystolic. As a result of this medication it will lower heart rate. The blood pressure may go up slightly but should stabilize in 2-4 weeks after taking the bystolic.
