Detailed Answer:
Hello Saurav,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Your mother was operated for pituitary adenoma of Hardy grade C suggesting large size.
In literature it has been mentioned that patients with large tumor, secreting hormones and extensive extension are having greater risk of recurrence even after 10 years.
So it's necessary to be in continuous monitoring.
In your mother the tumor size has increased from previous size she must be evaluated again regarding hormonal status.
Stereotactic Radiotherapy is one option available with focused radiation at the tumor site and minimal normal tissue harm.
Your mother's tumor doesn't come under carcinoma category if it's not disseminated or has such histopathological character.
Side effects of radiation are minimal if given by stereotactic approach.
It's difficult to prognosticate at present and may require further investigation.
You may consult in government Institute or good private sector with all these facilities.
You can also consult your previous treating doctor.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
