Brief Answer:
Life expectancy is improves with proper followup

Detailed Answer:
Hi madam. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to address your query.

I deeply understand your concern and my apologies for the delay.

Life expectancy of most of my clients diagnosed with ILD is very controlled. Furthermore, average of 2 to 5 years has been noted by the research and study on ILD. I personally feel that drug therapy can be of good effect to patients.Though these therapies offered can partially terminate the staging of the condition.Brighter side of it being in few instances where reports of cure of interstitial lung disease have been documented.

Since this is a lifelong condition that involves the decreased functioning of the lungs, I were to say it is very important that once you are diagnosed with the condition, prompt treatment should be followed and that doctor’s orders should not be neglected. This is important to avoid developing complications such as infections, abscess (formation of pus) etc that may be the cause of death and thus decrease the life expectancy.

Hope this answers your query
