to live ?

I am so sorry to hear about this diagnosis and all the inconveniences this has caused you. Obviously you are concerned and rightly so. Global cerebral atrophy simply means the brain is shrinking. This in itself doesn’t suggest that you will die earlier than others but places you at increased risk of memory loss. Memory loss is not a cause of premature death and we cannot therefore say how long you are expected to live given this. You must have noticed that most people with memory problems live well into their old age.

Be cal, positive and optimistic. If you have no glaring concern about your memory, this might turn out to be nothing but an incidental finding.
