Question: What is the likelihood of passing HSV 1 to someone via oral sex hours before a cold sore appears on my lip?

I read your query and here is my advice.

You are having great probability of transmitting HSV1 to someone via oral sex. The probability is also increased if you are having oral sex hours before the cold sore appears on your lips. This doesn't mean that she will have it but she has great probability of having it.

HSV1 is not a sexually transmitted disease.

You should not experience worse because HSV1 is not a sexually transmitted disease.
It can get transmitted with kissing or saliva. 80% of people get infected with HSV1 during childhood and she is probably infected too. You didn't know that you would have an outbreak of lesions hours after oral sex. Let's hope she will not have any blister on her vagina.
