What Is The Prognosis For DCIS, High Grade Comedo And Cribriform

Lumpectomy with radiation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma InSitu) is the presence of abnormal neoplastic cells inside a milk duct in the breast. It has a low risk of becoming invasive and is considered early form of breast cancer.
Surgery (lumpectomy) is required in most cases. Mastectomy, or removal of the breast, is recommended in some cases. After surgery, hormonal therapy may be recommended if the DCIS is hormone-receptor-positive. But since you are not positive for ER or PR then it won't be required. Lumpectomy is followed by radiation treatment for DCIS.
These are the basic guidelines and treatment options / decisions may differ for individual patients.
