Question: Baby XXXXXXX 10/M was admitted with coarctation of aorta, sp balloon coarctoplasty, has undergone coarctation of aorta repair in the year 2008 , please guide regarding the Prognosis of the said ailment , req. docs uploaded for reference .

This child has a good prognosis, as the patient has good heart function and there is no residual disease mentioned. The restenosis rate is around 10 per cent in this age group.
So there remains some risk of restenosis with age. So from coarctation of aorta point of view, the prognosis is good.
There is also a mention of seizures in the child along with infarction changes in the brain so the prognosis from a neurological point of view depends on the child's functional status.
