What Is The Prognosis For Enlarged Lymph Nodes When Diagnosed With Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma?

TECHNIQUE:
Targeted ultrasound of both axillae.
FINDINGS:
The dominant right axillary lymph node measures 4.1 x 1.2 cm at its
maximum craniocaudal by transverse dimension. The thickness of the
cortex measures 0.6 cm (normal measurement is between 0.2 to 0.3 cm).
Echogenic hilus is well visualized.
The dominant left axillary lymph node measures 3.1 x 1.0 cm at its
maximum craniocaudal by transverse dimension. The cortex measures 0.4
cm (normal measurement is between 0.2 to 0.3 cm). The echogenic hilus
is well visualized. Minimal nonspecific cortical thickening is undentified within the axillary lymph nodes.

Thank you for your answer. I recently have had some Psoraris on my hands. Could that be causing the lymph nodes to swell? The lymph nodes have both increased in size since they were originally notice a breast MRI. Is a biopsy the only way to confirm for sure? Recent blood tests show that my platelets were high.
Biopsy test
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Since you are having a history of stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma I would advise you to go for a biopsy test
As your USG report shows enlarged lymph nodes which are greater than 2 cm in size you need to concern a little
Any lymph nodes greater than 2 cm is suspicious of malignancy and that is why biopsy test is required to rule out malignancy

Brief Answer:
The confirmatory test is a biopsy to rule out cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Psoriasis would not cause such enlargement of lymph nodes.
As the size of your lymph nodes have increased in size and is more than 2 cm, a biopsy test is the only confirmatory test to rule out malignancy.
