Need some more details

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic .

Before I can answer your question I would like to know following details
- what specifically doctor has asked in blood test for example blood sugar levels or other tests?

- do you have any symptoms right now?

I asked above question because majority of tests are done with blood itself. If you can tell which test he has asked then I may help you .

Waiting for your reply.

Brief Answer:
It depends on the test you will undergo

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As I told you can get more then 100 different test in the blood to know different informations.

Usually at your age with 4 years diabetics the routine blood test done are as follows
- Blood sugar level and HbA1c . These gives more accurate information about the control of sugar in your body over home kits.
-renal function test to know how your kidney is working. Due to diabetes kidney function may be hampered to some extent in controlled diabetics also.
-lipid profile is done to know the cholesterol in body .

So these above investigations tells you, is the insulin dose adequate for you, Is your kidney functioning properly and whether your lipid metabolism is normal.

In diabetics pancreas function is not tested as the quantity of insulin needed to control sugar indicates the state of pancreas.

Unless there is any infection or bleeding or any symptoms , Red blood cells and Haemoglobin is not checked in the blood.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
