Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Mr
Every baby is unique and has their own energy requirements. So quantity of feeds required by baby varies from baby to baby. The average capacity of baby stomach is 10 ml per kilogram of body weight. So the average quantity per feeds = should be weight in kilogram × 10.
The feeding of baby should be on demand. The baby had adequate feeds can be judged from the following
1. Baby sleeps well after feeds
2. Swallowing movements seen while baby is sucking at breast
3. Urine output is adequate
4. Weight gain of baby is adequate
