What Is The Range Of Treatment Protocols Currently Available For Spine Surgery ?
Question: Hello doctor!
A biopsy following spine surgery has produced the following report:
“EPENDYMOMA, WHO GRADE II
IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY IS POSITIVE FOR GFAP AND EMA AND NEGATIVE FOR S100 PROTEIN AND SOX10”
Please tell me what is the range of treatment protocols currently available for use in attempting to either fully eliminate or greatly control the rate of growth of the tumor.
I am particularly interested to learn if there are now available protocols that involve neither radiation nor chemotherapy.
Thanks in advance.
